15 Apr 2013Durham Recently the Employment and Skills team had their first review after gaining the matrix Standard Accreditation in 2010 and were successful, even though the matrix Standard has recently become more rigorous and challenging. In fact, 25% of the organisations that have already been reviewed against the new Standard, have not been successful.

25 Mar 2013Burnside Allotments, Houghton-le-Spring A local community allotment in Houghton-le-Spring has been awarded its first grant through the Gentoo Aspire Fund. Local residents have been taking part in the local Green Activity sessions to help improve the allotments.
